If You really knew me
Challenge Day
@ Anthony Wayne High School One of our biggest inspirations came from the television show, If You Really Knew Me, on MTV. We watched one episode (the one located on the right) in Social Media in Action Class. Since the second marking period of the class required that we do a lerning service project, we thought: "Why not start a student lead Anti-Bullying program in our school?" We wanted other students to have a way to talk to their peers to find help in they find themselves involved in cyber bullying. That's how BTSP was born!

Get More: If You Really Knew Me, Full Episodes |
WE ENCOURAGE all students to watch this film. We also want teachers to show the film in class.
For teachers, this movie will take about 40 minutes of class time. This film does have a minimal use of foul language, so we recommend that the film be shown to middle and high school students. Students should be told that the show can be very emotional at times, and it's Okay for them to cry while watching the film.
For students in Mill River Middle School, we will host an assembly showcasing the film in December of 2013. If teachers, who work with students other than in our middle school, would like a copy of actives to do with students after viewing the video, send us an email at [email protected].

an Alternative For Elementary Students
This Pixar short, For The Birds, is a great way to introduce the subject of bullying to younger students. It's fun and engaging to watch and it illustrates to kids the negative results of bullying. After viewing the video, ask students what the moral of the story is trying to convey. Enjoy! :)
